During a Sunday appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Academy Award-winner Ben Affleck dished on dressing up as Batman at his son Samuel‘s 4th birthday party on Saturday.
“He wanted a superhero birthday party and so he wanted superheroes there,” Affleck said. “He was like, ‘and I want you to do Batman. Real Batman!’”
The Batman v Superman star, 43, said it took some convincing to get the movie studio to lend him the costume.
“They trust me for the movie, but not for a 4-year-old’s birthday,” joked the actor.
He went on to talk about the morning birthday bash — which was attended by Reese Witherspoon and her 3-year-old son Tennessee.
“There was Wonder Woman, Superman, Captain America, Iron Man and there was me … it was so mortifying,” he shared. “First I thought, ‘It’s kids. It’s kids.’ I didn’t think that, of course, like, all their parents are there.”
He added: “So I had to, like, put on my outfit for this movie, and put on my scary face for the 4-year-olds and all their folks are there. It’s 11 in the morning and they’re kind of like ‘Wow. Batman.’”
Affleck and estranged wife Jennifer Garner are also parents to daughters Violet, 10, and 7-year-old Seraphina.
