Congratulations are in order for Charles Kelley and Cassie McConnell Kelley.
The Lady Antebellum star, 34, and his blogger Wife have welcomed their first child – son Ward Charles Kelley – on Thursday (February 11), they announced via her website, Womanista.

After years of struggling to conceive, the couple welcomed their first child at 9:20 a.m. (c). The new addition weighed in at 7 pounds and 9 ounces and measured 20 inches long.
“We can’t stop staring at him and he hasn’t stopped chit-chatting with us since he arrived,” they announced. “He’s got Momma’s nose and Daddy’s eyes and vocal cords and a head full of blond hair.”
“We feel like our life just began today and are so grateful for a healthy baby boy in our arms,” they added.
In August, Cassie revealed their pregnancy news on her website. She said they have tried to conceive for years.
“When all was said and done our doctor informed us that we had about a 1 percent chance of conceiving a child naturally. Yeah. 1 percent,” she shared. “We never stopped hoping though … We made a plan to regroup this fall and explore other options to expand our family. Then it happened. I woke up one morning in June and there it was, a positive pregnancy test. I was in shock. Happy shock, but shock.”
Baby Ward joins big cousins Naleigh and Adalaide — brother Josh Kelley and wife Katherine Heigl‘s daughters.
