Bradford Anderson cast on Showtime series 'Homeland' — Air-dates Revealed! is very happy to share that our beloved Bradford Anderson was not able to tape episodes of General Hospital and reprise his role as Spinelli, when at the same time he was booked for a role on Homeland! Blake Berris (Ex-Nick, DAYS) subbed for the actor during that time,

Now comes word from Anderson himself that is two episode arc begins on the Showtime series this Sunday.  Bradford tweeted: “Looking for a Sunday night activity? I kindly suggest you tune into this week’s episode of HOMELAND. Many thanks.”

On Homeland, Anderson will play the role of Trent.  His first episode is entitled “Sock Puppets” airing on Sunday, March 19, and he will also be in the following episode, “The Flag House,” airing  on Sunday, March 26. Anderson has previously admitted to being a huge fan of Homeland and so this opportunity was a very excited one for the popular GH star.

"Homeland" follows a bipolar CIA operative Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes, "My So-Called Life") who in the initial season became convinced that a prisoner of war had been turned by al-Qaeda and was planning to carry out a terrorist attack on American soil. The show is loosely based on the Israeli television series "Hatufim", or "Prisoners of War" in English. The sixth season finds a shift in the plot of the show, which had in previous seasons revolved around tracking terrorist cells in America and Europe. When season six premieres viewers will find Carrie Mathison back in the United States and living in Brooklyn, New York. She is now working at a foundation whose efforts are to provide aid to Muslims living in the United States. The season takes place over 72 days, between election day and inauguration day. The season will also begin to set up the series' conclusion, as "Homeland" is expected to end after its eighth season.

In the season premiere "Fair Game," Carrie (Danes) returns home to the US with Franny (Claire and McKenna Keane) to work as an advocate for Muslim Americans. Dar (F. Murray Abraham) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) brief President-elect Keane (Elizabeth Marvel). Meanwhile Quinn (Rupert Friend) struggles with his new circumstances.
