This post will contain spoilers from ‘Game Of Thrones’ season 7 – You have been warned!

Contrary to many fans’ initial thoughts, the Dragon took down the Wall with FIRE and not ice in the epic ‘Game Of Thrones’ season 7 finale ‘The Dragon and the Wolf’.

The Wall being destroyed was one of the biggest, if not the biggest disaster in the whole series and it happened with a huge question- Is Tormund dead? What about Beric Dondarrion? What do you think?

In the penultimate episode of season 7, Daenerys had one of her three dragons killed by a spear thrown the the Night King, only to be revived in the final scene of the episode and become one of the army of the dead, this makes it an ice breathing Dragon, right? Nope, apparently not!

Speaking in an interview about the episode with Huffinton Post, director Jeremy Podeswa explained, and gave a good reason why the ‘Ice Dragon’ didn’t breath ice but fire and linked his reason to another huge Game Of Thrones moment.

“The way I looked at it was, when the sept burned down, that was green fire, and so then the dragon is going to have some kind of blueish fire. When you think about it, it does make sense because the beast does manage to bring down a vast frozen wall, and if he’d been breathing ice, he’d have just added another layer to it.”
