Ace Badminton player PV Sindhu became the first Indian woman to win the gold medal at the World Championships 2019 final. She made the entire country proud by winning gold. Actor Sonu Sood bagged the rights to make a biopic on Olympic medalist but who will play PV Sindhu has not been finalised yet. Her win at the World Championships gave Sonu a perfect climax for the biopic. On this, Sindhu told Hindustan Times, “Yes he told me. But I could only speak to him for a few minutes. He is travelling… So I’m yet to find out more about it. All I can say is that the film is in safe hands and I am sure he will do whatever is best for the film. He has my support.”

When Sindhu was asked which actor she thinks would be apt to play her on screen, she said, “Would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then the makers would take the final decision and I trust their decision."
Deepika is the daughter of the badminton legend Prakash Padukone and if she bags the role of PV Sindhu, she will nail it. What do you think?
On the work front, Deepika wrapped up the shooting of Meghna Gulzar's 'Chhapaak'. She will also be seen in '83' opposite her hubby Ranveer Singh. This will be their first movie together after marriage.
