Deepika Padukone’s Green pantsuit that she wore at Mami Film Festival’s closing night is in-your-face badass. It’s blindingly glossy. It’s unapologetic. But it’s strictly not one thing: pretentious. The outfit, with strong a personality of its own, does the job of being all out there and that’s how it intends to be (whether we like it or not).

Amidst innumerable memes mocking the done-to-death bling and hideous plunging neckline, this emerald green shimmery pantsuit by Monisha Jaising is killin’ it with its ‘care-two-hoots’ quotient and has totally bowled us over. After all, who said fashion risks are going to be a rosy ride? Considering the loud outfit, Deepika could have easily gone the non-accessories route, but seems like the stylist Shaleena Nathani was not in an understated mood. The actress clubbed the ensemble with flashy chandelier Saint Laurent earrings and got us pondering over her choice for a moment. But hey, they really worked (you may beg to differ). Makeup artist Anil Chinnappa opted for sultry smoky eyes, well-defined eyebrows and nude lips that still made a hell of a noise. Having said that though, we wish she would have opted for probably a light coral lipstick with the suit to mellow down the starkness a bit. Not that we’re complaining! A sleek, pushed back hairdo by celebrity hairstylist Namrata Soni did complete justice to the hot number by letting it stay in focus.

If not for the risky plunging neckline and long flared pants, the look may have just gone slightly awry, but we’re glad that these elements made Deepika look the way she did. Sexy AF!
