Every relationship has a story to tell, the one that has braved all odds to come out victorious, and Bollywood is no exception, where love stories are aplenty. And one such beautiful story is of Ajay Devgn and Kajol. Recently, both of them celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary, 18 years of togetherness and love, with two beautiful kids. And to think that this was the couple once written off by media as an unlikely pair, for they were two contrast personalities.

The duo got married after a dating period of almost five years, and even proved everyone wrong by being a hit jodi on screens, with movies like ‘Pyar To Hona Hi Tha’ and ‘Ishq’. But, did you know that their love blossomed on the sets of their initial movies, ‘Hulchul’ and ‘Gundaraj’? Eventually, both these films were in the making almost during the same time and were released in the same year, i.e. 1995. And today, on August 4, this eternal jodi was seen on the big screens, for the first time, as Anees Bazmi’s ‘Hulchul’ hit the screens. Though ‘Hulchul’ and ‘Gundaraj’ were released first and Ajay and Kajol’s chemistry was also appreciated, they weren’t a bankable couple till the release of their film ‘Ishq’ (1997). After the success of this film, both were seen together in ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’ (1998) which is still considered to be one of the best romantic movies ever made in Bollywood. And, this was their last film before they tied the knot for their real-life happily ever after, on February 24, 1999, in a traditional Maharashtrian style ceremony.

Later, they continued to share screen space in films like ‘Dil Kya Kare’, ‘Raju Chacha’, ‘U Me Aur Hum’ and ‘Toonpur Ka Super Hero’ that indeed delighted their fans and admirers.

Well, this day is indeed a special one, don’t you think? It was the start of a reel romance which eventually turned real.
