The Spy Who Dumped Me Bitesize Review

“I Killed someone! I killed someone!”

***

The cinematic landscape is awash with spy movie satire. The Spy Who Dumped Me is like the friend who’s turned up late to the party and brought the same chips and dips as the ten people before. Everyone loves chips and dips, but there is a limit. In recent years alone we’ve seen better action in the Kingsman series, and funnier leads in Paul Feig’s Spy. Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon are both charismatic enough, they’re just not given anything particularly exciting (and certainly nothing surprising) to do by Susanna Fogel and David Iserson’s script.

It’s not dramatically bad. But it’s just not all that funny either.
