Karan Johar Announces Hindi Remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade

Karan Johar after watching Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film titled, Dear Comrade made a clear announcement on taking up its Hindi Remake.

After Kabir Singh, remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Telugu film Arjun Reddy, another film of this south Indian star will soon be made in Hindi. Karan Johar has already made the announcement about the Hindi remake of Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade even before the film has hit the theatres.

Karan Johar took onto his Twitter handle to announce this wonderful news of taking up the project of producing the Hindi remake of Dear Comrade. His Tweet read, “Stunning and powerful love story! With top notch performances and exceptional music by @justin_tunes. On point debut direction by @bharatkamma. @TheDeverakonda is BRILLIANT as is @iamRashmika. Well done @MythriOfficial! ANNOUNCING that @DharmaMovies to REMAKE this beautiful film.”

Dear Comrade has finally hit the theatres on July 26, starring Vijay Deverakonda as the student leader who falls in love with a state-level cricketer player, played by Rashmika Mandanna.

Earlier, Karan Johar had met the Arjun Reddy star and also watched his upcoming film. Taking to his Instagram account, he also shared a picture of himself with Deverakonda and captioned it as, “Had the pleasure to be the first to see #dearcomrade ! What a powerful and intense love story !!! Top notch performances by @thedeverakonda and @rashmika_mandanna !! The film is exceptionally moving and leaves you with such an important and relevant message! Strongly directed by debut director @bharatkamma and wonderfully produced by @mythriofficial !! Exceptional music by #justinprabhakaran Glad to ANNOUNCE that @dharmamovies will be producing the Hindi remake of #dearcomrade !! Super excited about this!!!”

Vijay Deverakonda also shared his picture with the Kalank producer on Insta, captioned: “So proud to have this man, watch, love and be the one to remake our baby #DearComrade in Hindi. Team Dear Comrade. Comrade @karanjohar biggest hugs, love and respect for you. Can’t wait to do something mad with you and @dharmamovies.”

Kabir Singh, the Hindi remake of Deverakonda’s Arjun Reddy, was already a huge success at the box office and even broke all the previous records earning a whopping Rs 271 crore starring Shahid Kapoor.
