The cast for Marvel’s BLACK PANTHER is looking very stellar indeed and now news has come that Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman are set to reprise their roles from AGE OF ULTRON and CIVIL WAR respectively in the upcoming film.
Serkis’ inclusion is less surprising, his Ulysees Klaw is a Black Panther villain in the comics, though he won’t be the main antagonist here, and when we met him in AGE OF ULTRON he was operating near Wakanda. Freeman’s Everett K. Ross, we assume, will be there in some official capacity, but it will be interesting to see how. The two join Chadwick Boseman, who will reprise his T’Challa/Black Panther for Ryan Coogler.
The new additions to the cast are Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Florence Kasuma and Sterling K. Brown. Coogler co-wrote the script with Joe Robert Cole and is underway shooting now as he aims for a February 9th, 2018 release in the UK and February 16th in the US.
