Following Alicia Vikander’s casting as Lara Croft in the TOMB RAIDER reboot, news has come now that Walton Goggins is in negotiations to play the villain of the film.

There are no exact plot details known just yet, nor do we have any indication of who Goggins may be playing. Some rumours have had the plot revolving around Lara’s attempts to clear her father’s name, himself a successful explorer. Norwegian director Roar Uthang is in charge of this one with Geneva Robertson-Dworet having written the script.

Goggins was last seen in Quentin Tarantino’s THE HATEFUL EIGHT and currently has recurring roles on TV series SIX and VICE PRINCIPALS. He’s just wrapped work on THE THREE CHRISTS OF YPSILANTI alongside Richard Gere and Peter Dinklage.
