Luke Evans and Daniel Bruhl have been cast in TNT’s drama series THE ALIENIST. Cary Fukunaga and Jakob Verbruggen are overseeing this which is an adaptation of Caleb Carr’s best-seller.

Set during 1896, THE ALIENIST revolves around Dr. Laszlo Kreiszler (Bruhl), a psychologist, and John Moore (Evans), a reporter, who are brought together by police commissioner Theordore Roosevelt in the wake of a string murders of male prostitutes. The duo, along with the a team that consists of Sara Howard, use emerging forensic science and psychological profiling to track down the killer.

The series will begin shooting early next year before it arrives on US screens in late 2017. There’s no set channel for the drama on UK screens, so watch this space.
