Netflix and Marvel are bringing us some seriously brilliant entertainment with their joint TV shows of the street level heroes on the small screen. With that, the most recent being Luke Cage may have possibly knocked the video on demand service into an outage.

One character who shows up straight away in the show is Misty Knight, played by Simone Missick. The character plays detective to assist Cage in bringing down Cottonmouth in the show, as well as having a love interest relationship. The actress recently revealed some big news about her character and where she’ll be next for the Netflix shows.

“I believe I’m safe to say that I will be on ‘The Defenders,’” the actress tells TheWrap. “Spoiler alert! If I lose my job because of this interview, sorry! I was supposed to be on ‘The Defenders,’ until I got fired.”

So, that’ll be another addition to the Netflix character list for THE DEFENDERS, which is starting to look pretty big. We’ve already got DAREDEVIL, JESSICA JONES, LUKE CAGE and IRON FIST all joining together for the show, but also additional characters that are already on their own solo shows.

At the moment, THE DEFENDERS is looking to premiere at some point next year, plus we’ve still got IRON FIST as well. LUKE CAGE has just released so we haven’t heard anything about a second season of that show, but we can guess Netflix and Marvel will let one through with the already packed line up of returning DAREDEVIL and JESSICA JONES, plus the additional PUNISHER series as well.

THE DEFENDERS is due to premiere 2017 but LUKE CAGE is on Netflix now.
