Sales data on the Nintendo Switch has begun to trickle in. Overall it has been a slight improvement over the Wii U’s sales, and North America seems to be the console’s most popular region. Now, data from Famitsu that has been relayed on Twitter has confirmed that the Switch sold 313,700 in its first week. To be more exact, that first week includes the first 3 days that the Switch was available, March 3rd, 4th and 5th. It’s very likely that we will be getting a better idea on how well the console is doing in the coming weeks and months, but so far the Switch seems to be pulling in better numbers than the Wii U. In Japan, the Switch’s opening week sales also surpassed the Gamecube’s. We’ve included the relayed tweets down below, so feel free to check them out.
