Great news today for lovers of film, especially if you're feeling particularly broke after the festive season. Sony Pictures Television has announced that its flagship Movie channel Sony Movie Channel is launching this month.
The channel will kick off with a monster movie marathon on 10 January 2017 with Godzilla starring Matthew Broderick at 9pm followed by the Arnold Schwarzenegger blockbuster, Predator at 11pm.
Sony Movie Channel promises lots to look forward to with Monday Night Premieres, Mega Weekends and Sofa Sundays. I definitely like the idea of spending a whole weekend Sunday on the sofa.
In their first month alone, they're launching 14 channel premieres including Godzilla, Twilight, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Maid In Manhattan, The Mask of Zorro and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
Almost makes you wonder why we bother paying exorbitant fees for movie channels with our existing providers, doesn't it?
