Behati Prinsloo is the Latest Celebrity Being “Mom Shamed” for the Social Media Post She Shared on her Instagram over the Weekend
Behati Prinsloo, the mama of two little ones, let loose and enjoyed the musical festivities that are offered up at the second weekend of the Coachella Music Festival.
The 28-year-old model shares her two daughters with frontman Adam Levine of Maroon 5. The supermodel shared a breast pumping picture of herself with a wide grin while pumping showing fans the 24-hour reality of mom duties.
But the picture wasn’t what brought on criticism, it was what Behati wrote as her caption, “#pumpanddump.”

Followers messaged the Victoria’s Secret model writing harsh comments like, “Why don’t you breastfeed your baby?”
Other comments included, “Why dump? Most medications are safe, and as long as you’re not sloppy drunk, your milk is good!!!” While another person attacked Behati writing, “No need to dump! Don’t waste that liquid gold! Very little alcohol gets into breastmilk. Nurse away mama!”

But some of Prinsloo’s inner circle came to the South African beauty’s defense. Actress Brooklyn Decker commented back writing, “Same. Right now. Same.”
Makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez backed the model saying, “I remember those days.”
And, Yael Cohen Braun who is married to music manager Scooter Braun cheered Behati on writing, “Get it, mama!”
Behati Prinsloo and Adam, 39 welcomed their second daughter Gio Grace in February. Gio joined 19-month old big sister Dusty Rose.
But this isn’t the first case of mom-shaming a celebrity. In recent months other public figures have taken the heat for their parenting styles including actress Julia Stiles, 37.
Stiles was ridiculed for not holding her then 5-week baby properly in the baby carrier. Julia fired back, “It was brought to my attention that in a previous photo I am not holding my baby correctly. Wow, I didn’t expect that. What was supposed to be a shout out of products I like suddenly becomes an invitation to comment on my baby, and my ability as a mother. That’s the internet for you.”
Celebrity mamas are people too. These mothers are trying like any mama out there. We should all join together and support one another on this road of motherhood.
