Things are getting ugly between Robin Thicke and Paula Patton.

Patton recently accused her ex-husband of “excessive spanking” of their 6-year-old son Julian, which Thicke denied. Days later, the couple went to joint therapy with their son. Then on Thursday (January 26), the former couple sought temporary sole custody over Julian.

According to E! News, a Los Angeles judge granted temporary sole custody to Patton and issued a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Thicke, which orders him to stay away from her, their son and her mother, Joyce Patton.

According to TMZ, Thick has a history of domestic violence, infidelity and addictions.

Reportedly, the Warcraft actress, 41, accuses the Blurred Lines hitmaker, 39, of physically assaulting her, cheating on her multiple times and having a serious cocaine problem.

Thicke’s lawyer Pierce di Donato responded to the allegations in a statement to PEOPLE:

“Paula never reported any domestic violence until she was in a position of contempt by violating the custody orders. DCFS asked both Paula and Robin to drug test. Robin agreed and submitted to his test, but Paula refused to test. Infidelity has nothing to do with custody. She is attempting to throw anything at him to hurt him, but Robin’s focus is their son.”
