Stranger Things Season 3: The Latest Plot Details

Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy has recently teased some interesting plot details for the third season of the hit Netflix drama.

When the drama’s executive producer Shawn Levy spoke to The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet, he revealed a few interesting plot details for season 3, confirming that we’ll see the continuation of the relationships between Mike and Eleven as well as Max and Lucas.

“Mike and Eleven and are going strong, so that’s a relationship that continues, and same with Mad Max and Lucas.” Levy said, “But Again, they’re like 13 or 14-year-old kids, so what does romance mean at that stage of life? It can never be simple and stable relationships and there’s fun to that instability,”

Levy also mentioned one of our favorite characters from season two, Steve Harrington, and how he became an internet sensation overnight following his scenes with the kids, which led to fans calling him Dad Steve. According to Shawn Levy, they’ll be building on that success in the new season.

“We’ll definitely get to see some more of Steve Harrington in season three, and I’ll just say we won’t be abandoning the Dad Steve magic. I don’t want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve,” he said.

As well as this new plot news, a few weeks back a big casting call was been sent out for Stranger Things season 3 for a trio of new characters that might play an important role.

The first character is Mayor Larry Kline, who is described as an classic, 80’s style slick politician who is pathetic and driven only by his own interests. In order to fill the role, Stranger Things is looking for a male between his 40s and 60s.

Finally is Patricia Brown. This character is one which people have could have some connection to the Upside Down. She is described as a sweet old lady in her 70s who loves gardening and dishing out her advice.

Season 2 of the Netflix supernatural drama saw many new additions, mainly being Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink and Billy Hargrove, who was portrayed by Dacre Montgomery. Lets not forget Sean Astin as Bob!
