Interview with Horror Actress Ashley May Nunes

This week I have a very special guest. The beautiful Scream Queen of Horror, actress Ashley Mary Nunes.
She has an impressive horror film background displayed onIMDb.comwith her work on All Through the House, Scary Larry, The Dröm and Mark Upon the Flesh.
Welcome Ashley and thank you for joining us with this quick interview. Let’s get this interview started.
Jonuel: What has been your biggest achievement in the field of acting?
Ashley: My biggest achievement as an actress would be the release of my first starring role in the holiday horror feature film, All Through The House. It was truly a dream come true and hopefully just the beginning for my brother, Todd Nunes (writer/director) and I. Scream Queen, Jessica Cameron dubbed us as the Brother/Sister duo of horror.
Jonuel: What inspired you to be an actor in this genre?
Ashley: I was brought up with the horror genre from the day I was born. My brother was obsessed with the genre and would film his own home horror movies and stage plays growing up. I guess you can say he trained me to be his Scream Queen. I am very inspired by Jamie Lee Curtis and her ability to show vulnerability on screen. I have always been aspired to be just like her.
Jonuel: Tell me about a time when you had a really bad day but had to perform that night. How did you
get through it?
Ashley: While filming, All Through The House, I was very sick with the worse cough ever! We filmed a week straight in our main location, 24/7. There were many times that I had to run out of the house while another scene was filming to avoid coughing during the takes. I had also lost my voice and had to fight through a lot of my lines. It was a huge challenge for me, but I used the pain from the cold to add to my character during her most intense scenes.
Jonuel: What was the biggest audience you have performed in front of?
Ashley: I was on this SyFy Network reality competition show called, Robot Combat League. It was basically life sized, Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots or the movie, Reel Steal with Hugh Jackman. It was hosted by WWE legend, Chris Jericho and filmed in front of a live audience. It was pretty seriel and phenomenal at the same time. My family got to experience me controlling an 8 ft tall giant robot in a combat fight week after week. Definitely an experience of a lifetime!
Jonuel: Tell me about what you're working on now.
Ashley: I am currently working on a couple horror features. I am very grateful to be working alongside my brother, Todd Nunes on his next horror feature called, Death Ward 13. it's a reimagining of the cult classic, Don't Look In The Basement. I am also proud to say that I will be leading director, Nick Hunt on his horror feature, Safe Place. I will be playing a kick ass role! Also, I am very excited to be working on, Sammy directed by Andrew Cain and Jimmy Wienholz. It's about a little girl who grows up with a monster in her closet. I cannot wait to shoot ALL these projects this year! 2017 is looking good.
Those were some great answers. OK, it is time to unleash the Blurb. Take it away Ashley!
