Early life
John Abraham was born in a middle class family. His mother (Firoza Irani) was Zoroastrian and the father was Malayali. The actor himself is an architect by profession. He has done his graduation from Kerela. As you know, John is a half Persian with his Persian name as “Farhan”. The reason why he named John was because of his father, who himself followed Christianity and therefore named him John.
Coming back to his family and early education, the actor has 2 siblings. One is Alan Abraham (younger brother) and another one is Susy Mathew (sister). The star actor has attained his early education from the Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai. After schooling, he completed his graduation in economics and then obtained an MBA from a college in Mumbai.
Career (Modelling)
John first started his modelling career by appearing in one of the music albums of Punjabi pop singer- Jazzy B. He later chose to join an entertainment firm but it didn’t work for him. It was only in the year 1999 that had brought him some sort of hope after he was declared the winner of the Gladrags Manhunt Contest and then visited Philippines in a hope to win another competition- Manhunt International. He finished as a runner up.

In the later part of his career, he appeared several times in the music albums of famous singers- Babul Supriyo, Hans Raj Hans and Pankaj Udhas. Simultaneously, the actor also joined acting classes to improve his acting skills.
Personal life
John Abraham happened to be in several relationships. He first had a relationship with Bipasha Basu for almost 9 years. Bipasha was his co-star during the shooting of Jism (2002).
There were rumors about their break-up but the actor chose to remain silent speaking on his personal front. He finally got married to an NRI girl Priya Runchal. He got married on January 3, 2014 and then went to LA (Los Angeles) for a celebration.

John started his acting career from Jism (2003), grossing almost Rs. 1,3,250,000 at the box office. He next appeared in a horror movie named Saaya. In the year 2004, he again featured in a movie Paap. His other film in the same year was Lakeer.
