by Coop Cooper Formerly titled “God Particle”, “The Cloverfield Paradox” was scheduled to arrive in theaters in February 2017, then October 2017, then it was pushed back to April 2018. There were rumors that the powers that be at Paramount Studios weren't happy with the cut of the film and that reshoots would happen. Later rumors indicated the film may be dumped into a direct-to-video release as Paramount looked to cut some fat out of their budget. “Cloverfield” fans were shocked and caught off guard when on Super Bowl Sunday, a teaser for the film announced that “The Cloverfield Paradox” would release on Netflix... that very night after the game ended. The Cloverfield franchise is known for secrecy, surprises and inventive marketing campaigns, but this bombshell topped them all. Luckily for fans, the film delivers a thrilling story and spectacle as long as they don't expect a non-stop monster fest...
