The Vice-Dean Faculty of Agriculture UGM of academic and research field, Dr. Sri Peni Wastutiningsih said that every curriculum intrinsically must open to critic and gradually transform.
For the agenda of correcting education curriculum of agriculture, the side of Faculty of Agriculture UGM has invited some expert of agriculture from
Japan,
Korea,
Vietnam, and
France, to give related input of development of the existing agriculture field.
Present as a speaker in this workshop are Prof. Teruo Maeda from
Hiroshima University, Japan; from National University of Kangnung South Korea; Prof Tran Van Hai from Chan Tho University, Vietnam; Dr Jean Piere Caliman from CIRAD, France.
Dr. Jean Piere Caliman in his presentation submitting needs the existence of curriculum concerning three things, sustainability, and wise management, organic and of farming.
Meanwhile, Prof Dr Jeong is more highlighting about addition of the courses object is being based on Practical Skill to add the ability and skill of agriculture graduate. The addition of ability in practical skill can be done by following apprentice during 3 month or to one year, by fund from campus or sponsor.
Relates to addition of education of this practice, Penny in agreement, because till now student lack of practical skill.
