Selecting a Hotel in Las Vegas can be overwhelming as there is a vast option of sophisticated, amenity-loaded resorts competing for your reservation. If you want to ‘go on a grand scale’ on your trip to Las Vegas then look no further than The Palazzo Resort Hotel and Casino.
Located on the northern end of the Strip and right next door to The Venetian, The Palazzo Resort Hotel and Casino is the upscale and refashioned kid sister of its Venetia-copy Italian neighbor. Its lustrous decor and modern color palette makes it a hit even with the chicer crowd.
I booked an air+hotel package through Expedia.com and the whole process it took me less than 20 minutes include the selection of the hotel. I choose Expedia.com because its easy navigation with great filters for your best selection. I reserved a king suite with view which was charge an extra $39 per night however it was worth all the way!
The floor-plan for the Palazzo suites is just about the same as The Venetian's. Each suite offers standard amenities like a recessed living room, two plasma TVs (one in the living room the other one in the connected bedroom), a dining area, an L shaped couch, and a desk. There are a remote-controlled Roman shades and curtains added to the modern conveniences; it means that you can let the sun in while still in bed!
Bathrooms are tiled and decorated with marble and feature a separate shower and soaking tub.

Check-In
While sitting in my tax cab from the McCarran airport to the hotel, I was imaging an excruciatingly long check-in line like the ones I already experienced in my past trips to Vegas. Instead, when I arrived at the vast and elegant check-in area, there were only a few people in front of me. My hubby and I were welcomed by a valet who asked for our last name and introduced us to the next available concierge attache’. Right there I felt the V.I.P. special treatment!
Within few minutes I received my two keys and I was ready to take the elevator to the 15th floor.

The Pools
My most wanted amenity at any Las Vegas hotel is definitely the pool. The amazing thing is that the Palazzo and the Venetian have a total of 10 pools shared so you’re certain to find one that suits your mood. On top of this the shared swimming pool decks are smoothly connected so you can just promenade from one deck to the other one through a nice walk path surrounded by plants.
The Palazzo’s main pool is where I spent my day time during my stay. It is large, recharging and showcase an exquisitely beautified deck with stylish planters that edged each side of the pool. The lounge chairs themselves were abundantly large and had totally comfortable cushions. The towels are located at the entrance of the pool deck and are supplied by the hotel. I personally used two of them because I wanted the cushion completely covered. Since I like to enter the pool often I need to change them at least 3 to 4 times during the day. Not a problem because there’s no limit on towels usage!

Overall Conclusion
I enjoyed my stay at The Palazzo, in particular considering the deal I got when booking the hotel as part of an Air + Hotel package through Expedia.com travel portal.
It’s a sophisticated property that mix together usual Vegas amenities like a full casino and numerous bars with a relaxing, luxurious resort experience.
