Another step closer to normality. Masks are no Longer Required at Universal Orlando, but there is no word yet from Walt Disney World. However, this rule change is only for fully vaccinated guests, but Universal will not be asking for proof of vaccination. Unvaccinated guests are expected to continue wearing masks in all indoor locations. It will be interesting to see how strictly they will follow this guidance with children still too young to be vaccinated.

Social distancing and increased hygiene measures continue, but this welcome news is another step closer to normality. Hopefully, these positive signs will mean that seasonal events such as Halloween Horror Nights will proceed this year. We suspect it won’t be long until Disney follows the same policy, as they did with removing masks outside a few weeks back.

The following are the new rules surrounding mask use at Universal Orlando:

In accordance with CDC guidelines, face coverings are no longer required for fully vaccinated guests, indoors or outdoors. While we do not require proof of vaccination, we do expect those who are not fully vaccinated to wear face coverings while indoors. We encourage all guests to keep a safe distance between travel parties, and we remain focused on maintaining the highest cleanliness and sanitization standards.
