– We just recently learned that the first humpback whale sighting of the season was recorded on September 14th. This whale was making a splash, too, with multiple breaches per MauiNow.

– The winners of our guess-the-first-whale-sighting contest have been selected. No one guessed September 14, but two people guessed September 13. Congratulations to Joanne and Elizabeth!

– Hawaiian Airlines has put their January and February fares on sale starting at $119 one-way or $239 round-trip. January and February are peak months to visit Hawaii to see the humpback whales.

– Inter-island fares continue to be on sale starting at $39 one-way both for Hawaiian Airlines and Southwest Airlines. That’s a really good deal.
