The LA Times reported a story today, Aug.5,that due to high security and distractions men's and women's Olympics contestants have been living the life of luxury in Rio de Janeiro aboard the swank Silver Cloud operated by Silversea Cruises, one of the sponsors of the games. Lucky them. The Cloud was formerly a member of Silversea's small luxury fleet but was recently converted to its Expedition brand..
The athletes really scored on this one, however some are complaining that the staterooms and beds are too small and that since they are docked they would have the same amenities as a hotel (but maybe not as good food and service which Silversea excels in). It's actually incredulous that any of them wouldn't love being on this ship.Maybe we have a bunch of entitled,spoiled millennials here.
