The snow fell much heavier on Tuesday than it did on Monday creating chaos all through Paris and the region. About 3-4 inches was recorded falling and although it’s probably not a big ordeal in most parts of the U.S., it was a major event here.
Bus service was suspended, the Eiffel Tower was closed due to high winds, regional trains experienced major delays, and traffic 430 miles of roads came to a near standstill.
But it wasn’t all doom and gloom; people were out taking advantage of the snow in a good way.
Snowmen were popping up in the parks, snowballs were thrown too and fro but tots, teens and parents, and skiers scaled the slopes of Montmartre.
Speaking of Montmartre, I was up there yesterday and the snow created a stunning landscape for some remarkable photo ops. Let me know how you like the photos.
By the way, the top photograph of the red balloons was taken right outside my door on the rue Saint Antoine.
Snow is predicted for Friday again, so keeping my fingers crossed.
Which do you like better, black and white or color of this photo?
