I’m taking a blogging break this week, so enjoy the Best of Eye Prefer Paris this week with a series of snow photos I took several years ago.
Snow covered the city in a blanket of white on Sunday. Although four inches may seem tame to many of you who live in snowy climates, for Paris it’s a blizzard. The city doesn’t have good coping mechanisms for snowstorms and many flights were delayed or cancelled at the airports and much of the city was closed down.
I just had to walk out my door a few blocks to capture the splendor of snow in the Marais. I rarely shoot in black and white but as I was processing my photos I played with the black and white setting and liked how they came out. I am giving you double pleasure today as I also am including the same photos in color. I can’t decide which I like better for this series, so I will let you be the judge. Please tell me in my comments section, which you prefer, the black and white or color.
