15/02/2016 - On the way back from the Rob Roy Glacier Track in Mount Aspiring National Park, I saw the best, longest, most slick rainbow I have ever encountered. It stretched right across the road creating an imaginary tunnel and I could see both ends.

After taking a shot or two through my grubby windscreen, I quickly got out before the moment was gone to try and capture the magic.
Even when I thought that it was all over, there was another less defined rainbow which appeared fleetingly from the drizzle over the mountains. It is spectacular really that the glacier was outshone by the road.
And then, in the same week, I was peeping out my window from my digs at the Country Time Hotel across the airfield when yet another rainbow appeared. I was a bit too slow really and by the time I bolted out the door with my camera, it had begun to fade.
