We headed to this quiet cabin resort nestled in the Coast Mountains for my 30th birthday! This was prime barbecuing territory and a world away from the large commercial playground of Whistler and Blackcombe. Whilst I was here in Summer, I bet this place is magical over the Winter with deep powder and no queues for lifts, all culminating in great ski-ing!
The views were great, but my favourite thing about the place was the abundance of Columbian Ground Squirrels coupled with their enviable posture.
These cheeky little scamps spend their days peeping and scurrying in and our of their burrows with a look of surprise on their faces.
Manning Park is not really for the party crowd. However, If you like a spot of camping and supping a few beers over an evening, this place is for you.
