Location

The Hotel is located in the middle of a newly built mall type complex.
From the HAK airport it takes around 20minutes and to downtown Haikou it is around 30 minutes away by car.

Room

The room is very grand & of an opulent look on the 17th floor. Good level of detail has been put into the decor of this medium size room that offers a super comfy and high king size bed. Either side are bed side tables with pull out drawers that offer international plug sockets and even specific USB sockets for either I phone or Android. Button lighting and electronic drape controls are also on the bedside table and easily accessible from bed to create either ambience, reading, accent or night light- controlling the various overhead lighting to create the ideal mood etc.

The bed faces a large TV and grand wooden cabinet, where there is a Nespresso coffee machine plus shelves that contains items such as a globe, tea set, some vases and even a book about the Beatles.

The TV has full cable channels with some movies, CNN for English but also Russian, Japanese and Korean TV is offered.

Below TV is a mini bar containing large bottles of wine, liquor, soft drinks and snacks- as well as a premium glasses and plate set plus cups for the coffee making.

The room also contains a large round dining style table instead of a desk but worked well as since plug sockets are nearby. It also enables you to enjoy in-room dining at a proper table. Behind this is a phone, lamp and a small Bose speaker unit that can be synched up to via bluetooth. There is a also a soft and comfy arm chair and side table.

The ambience feels like an executive chairmans bedroom from the effort of the detail and the vibe it creates.

A large balcony also exists with two chairs and a nice view of the hotel golf course.

The bathroom is very spacious with complete elegant marble finish from top to bottom. Offers two sinks, an enclosed large marble bath as well as a spacious washing area with marble seat below an overhead rain shower but there is also a separate detachable shower. The bath has a comfy pillow to lie and watch the bath TV at the end. Same channel as main room and good sound quality throughout the bathroom.

Amenities are as expected very premium Ritz Carlton home branded full set and generous personal tubes of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and soaps by British brand asprey’s. Thick lovely towels and robes with soft towel finish on the inside, one of the best robes seen in any hotel. Slippers are also offered.

Facilities

There is WIFI for free throughout the hotel, secure using your room number. It worked well and allowed vpn access.
Catering includes a roof top bar called Flair that has some light dishes kind of restaurant such as Sushi. It offers a nice view and has a female Dj playing some mellow house music.

There is also a Chinese restaurant but didn’t try it, a lobby bar with macaroons, cakes and teas- a nice lounge atmosphere with a lady singing songs accompanied by a playing piano.

Also an Italian restaurant is where breakfast is served but had to leave early so unable to try it. Pool bar as well. The hotel does offer a take-away breakfast box in which I did try and had some nice pastries and fruit offered with bottle of water.

The pool is quite small for size of hotel with limited loungers but a nice setting with view of golf course. It is sufficient for doing lengths. There is also a kids pools with some water fountain displays. Plus also a whole kids room with toys and outside area has a climbing frame.
There is a gym- very clean and new with techno gym equipment, cardio and weights rooms. A massage spa also exists.

They do offers a golf course, but this is quite small compared to a normal size but still looks nice and well lit up in front of the hotel.

There is also a business centre, conference facilities and a souvenir shop but did not see these. The decor throughout the hotel is exceptional level of detail.

Staff

Staff on all levels offers the highest standard of customer service. They all acknowledge you and want to help you with anything.As expected at this international brand they all speak very well English.

A very nice Ritz Carlton. The room was exceptionally cosy.
