How To Find The Right RV For Your Road Trip?

Renting an RV will help you see more of the country than an average tourist see. While renting a car or taking a bus or train tour are options, the use of an RV  makes it more comfortable for you and your family to stay in places longer in greater comfort.

How To Find The Right RV For Your Road Trip?

There are RV rental companies all over the country, some of the agents will pick you up at the airport while there are other agents that operate out of the airports. Comparative sites such as RVRentaCampervan  can help you find the recreational vehicle you need and connect you with the agent that will help you make your dream vacation come true. You also need to make sure that you have some kinds of RV insurance.

What is there to see what would be best when in a Campervan?

There is so much to see in the U.S. and the infrastructure so well built that your trip will be easy to organize. I am mostly travelling around the west coast because there are many public lands there where you can stay for free. But, there is so much to see in the East Coast and from Europe, most people are interested in seeing Florida first. Here is some highlights if you are planning a Florida trip:

St Augustine

St. Augustine is the oldest city in the United States. It was established in 1565 by the Spanish. The old city is filled with colonial Spanish architecture and there are many Atlantic Ocean beaches just to the east of the city. Other attractions include Castillo de San Marcos fortress and the St. Augustine Lighthouse along with 3 state parks nearby.

There are 18 RV parks nearby you can make base camp at. You can choose a new RV park like 4 Lakes Campgrounds with full hookups,  internet, and laundry facility along with walking trails. You also have walking distance from the ocean at North Beach Camp Resort that is just across the Coastal Highway from the Atlantic Ocean. They provide full hookup services and internet access along with restrooms, showers and laundry services.

The Kennedy Space Center

No visit to Florida would be completed without a visit to Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. While the huge Saturn V rocket is now only on display there are still launches of the Space X and Boeing Orbital spacecraft at the center. All launches can be viewed from every RV parks in the area and as far away as Tampa. I know this since I watched the Space Shuttles take off until the unfortunate Challenger accident from the Tampa Area. There are 3 launches scheduled this year to enjoy.

There are 3 RV campgrounds in Cape Canaveral, 1 in the space center itself and 1 at the Patrick Air Force Base.  The Jetty Park Campgrounds is considered the best by many due to the extra attractions you can view from the park. This is a full hookup RV park with internet access, restrooms, showers, laundry facility, and oceanfront access. Whichever camping ground you choose make sure you have taken out caravan insurance.  The average cost of insurance will depend on many factors, but the cost of your motorhome will be a big factor.

The Atlantic Ocean is on one side with the Canaveral Barge Canal on another side. You can see the passes of cruise ships, US Navy Submarines along with an up and close view of the space launches. There is also an abundance of wildlife on and near the park and a 1200 foot pier for fishing you can access 24 hours a day.
