Old books are laid down on antique bookshelves that are intact with the bohemian interior. In the summer there are small tables outside the restaurant that cleverly remind of the small coffee shops and bistros in Paris. Gourmet food, music from the piano in the corner and a list of the finest Bulgarian and imported wines is what you can expect to find there. The smell of freshly baked bread make the atmosphere even more vibrant.

Pro Tip

If you happen to be in or around PLOVEdiv between the 5th and 6th of May, don’t miss the opportunity to witness the Wine and Gourmet Parade. The event is being held annually on the first weekend of May. As the name suggests it is a wine and food festival in the Old Town of Plovdiv. The entrance is free, but you can purchase tokens so you can participate in the wine tastings, which is a must-do possibility.
