The must visit place during a trip to Armenia in winter is Ejmiatsin which is the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Here you can take part in the Christmas liturgy. Sculptures symbolizing the birth of Christ are installed on the territory of the church complex.

You need to visit the monastery of Khor Virap to admire the beauty of the snow-capped peaks of the
sacred Mount Ararat from the closest distance where the first Catholicos of All Armenians Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years.

It is also worth to visit in winter in Armenia the temple of Garni. Тhis is the only monument of paganism and Hellenism which survived on the territory of the country. The monastery complex Geghard partially carved in the rock is located close to Garni. Tours in Armenia include visiting many other cultural monuments that will help tourists to discover the history of this ancient country.
