Early morning pick up for a discovery tour to Nizwa and Jebel Akhder. First you start visiting Nizwa Souq and Fort, it is about 165 km from Muscat which is about an hour and a half, the road pass through many Wilayats like Bidbid, Samail, and Izki.
The ancient souq of Nizwa is still bustling with activity today and together with the fort, they draw many visitors to the area.The fort at Nizwa dates back to the middle of the 17th century and the earth-filled central stone tower is full of sneaky traps.
Continue to visit Jebel Akhdar, meaning Green Mountain and it rises to a height of 2,980 metres and is famous for its wide plateau close to the summit. One of the alluring sights on the Jabal is the glistening water cascading down the rocky mountain against a sunny backdrop.
The journey can only be undertaken by four-wheel drive, Picnic Lunch will be provided at the Wadi Bani Habib. We will also stop at the Jabal Akhdar hotel for tea or Omani coffee and some light refreshments (optional – Not included). Return to Muscat at 1600hrs.
