Meroo National Park Free Camping Spot

After we stayed with friends in Newcastle we headed to the Lane Cove National Park for the weekend. We froze our butt off big time staying there – the showers had run out of “Hot Water” while we were there the first night so we had to search other showers the next night.

I didn’t get any pics of the Lane Cove National Park because I have already taken pics last time we stayed there {thought I had shared that in a blog post but I can’t find it!} The National Park is very expensive to stay there over night – they make you pay for children over the age of 12 as an adult

Then we picked up our second son Zach and headed down south. Meet up with David’s ex-boss and his wonderful family for fish and chips at Shellharbour Beach. Driving on past Ulladulla to our favorite Free Camping Spot Meroo National Park Free Camping.

Gosh do we love that place – the Tabourie beach on one side and the Lake Tabourie on the other. Beautiful beach to walk along, as well as bush tracks to explore. And yes we did find a geocache on the island down there!

Yes we had a shower set up, and we boiled the water as hot as possible, but there was a few nights where it was beyond the joke and we couldn’t have a shower cause of the wind coming through! Yeah I went to bed dirty a few nights while we Free Camped down at Meroo National Park.

YES THEY HAVE FIRE SPOTS WHICH WE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF!

We loved our time at Meroo National Park Free Camping Spot with our second son – not sure what we will do now that we have Beauty in our family!
