Transatlantic Cruise: 15 nights in November 2012

Here is a new take on the Transatlantic Crossing by Royal Caribbean. Aboard the Adventure of the Seas, you will start in Spain and visit some of the islands off that coast- Madeira, beautiful Lanzarote in the Canary Islands which is an award-winning destination for eco-tourism. Another Canary island is next, the city of Las Palmas on Gran Canaria, and then another with the mountainous and lush Tenerife.

The crossing of the Atlantic takes 6 days, so you can sit back, chill out and enjoy the ship. The upside of a cruise ship is that it is a floating hotel, restaurant and activity and entertainment centre, so you will always be occupied- plus you could just sit and look at the ocean for hours!

First stop in the Americas is St. Johns in Antigua. This lovely island has 365 beaches- one for every day of the year! The island of Saint Maarten is next, where the ship docks at Philipsburg, where there is great tropical shopping to be done. Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas is next, a gorgeous island with a swashbuckling past. The last stop and disembarkation port is San Juan in Puerto Rico.
