Oude Werf’s dining history began with the hearty 19th-century country dishes of legendary hotel owner, Tant Betje Wium. This winter, Chef Jeromy will be exploring the flavours of our heritage with his Stellenbosch Soul Food menus, every Thursday until Friday, 30 September.

Reserve your table in front of our roaring fire and savour Chef Jeromy’s selection of rich, warm dishes, comfort food stirred through with Chef Jeromy’s inimitable gourmet flare. Think thick-bubbling soups, slow-simmered bredies and curries, sticky steamed puddings… food to take you home, back to a calmer, slower era.

“I’m excited about reinterpreting dishes that epitomise the soul of Stellenbosch,” says Chef Jeromy. “These are big, warm, hearty dishes that refer to a past when time moved more gently, dishes we’ve carried with us into the future with our favourite memories.”
