Volcano Curry Mee at Happy Garden KL

Finally, I went to the viral Volcano Curry Mee at Volcano Curry House at Happy Garden KL. From what I know is they have moved to this new located at Mun Kee Seafood Restaurant Food Court.

The Mun Kee Seafood Restaurant Food Court is located at  32, Jalan Perisa 1, Happy Garden and Volcano Curry Mee is one of the stalls. They open from 7 am to 2 pm daily and I was there as part of buddy Seth Lui’s Youtube Food Finder Series in KL.

The food stalls and restaurants in the series is not recommended by me but their producer and I was there to co-host that episode. I have known Seth Lui for years as we went to Sydney together some time ago.

The chef told us that they are the first food stall that offer volcano curry mee while the rest are copycat. Since he mentioned that they are the first and the original, we expect more from him.

We ordered the Volcano Curry Mee at RM 38, it is good for two to three people. Please take note that they need time to cook as it comes with more than 10 ingredients.

The volcano curry mee comes with shrimp / prawn, fish fillet, cuttlefish, lala, squid, cockles, fried beancurd skin, mussel, beansprout, pigskin, long bean, brinjal, chicken slices, roast pork (siew yoke), char siew and noodles.

Here is the thing. They will offer you another bowl of curry and you probably need another extra bowl or two.

There are too many things going on with so many ingredients so you will find a hard time to start. What I like is their cockles / siham as it is not overcooked.

Make sure you eat the noodles first and then, you can slowly eat your way with the ingredients. The noodles can be soggy, so eat the noodles with the ingredients.

The seafood is fresh and that is the reason why it is expensive. The curry is pretty good and if you really big fan of curry noodles and big eater, please visit Volcano Curry Mee at Happy Garden KL.
