Dim Dou Duck at Waterfront Desa Parkcity

Dim Dou Duck at Waterfront Desa Parkcity

This is a popular restaurant in Waterfront Desa Parkcity and we went there for dinner with friends. Dim Dou Duck is a Chinese restaurant and it literally means ‘anything goes’ in Cantonese. We visited Dim Dou Duck as we were curious about their food.

Firstly, any restaurant in Waterfront Desa Parkcity is usually fancy on its pricing. Dim Dou Duck is Chinese restaurant popular with its roast duck.

We ordered quite a lot of food and they already informed us that the portion is going to be small. It is good to let us know in advance so we know we are expecting it to be small portion rather than complaining it later.

We ordered the Chinese Spinach Soup in Pork Bone Pepper Soup, Japanese Style Fried Rice, Kam Heong Asari Clams, Steamed Minced Pork with Salted Fish, Fried Mixed Mushrooms and French Beans, Char Siew, Siew Yoke, Peking Duck and Deep Fried Salted Egg Prawns.

Chinese Spinach Soup in Pork Bone Pepper Soup

Japanese Style Fried Rice. Ordered this for the boys, we had to take out the spicy bits but the kids loved it especially with the fish roe.

Kam Heong Asari Clams. They called it asari clams and some called it the Japanese clams. The difference is it offers more meat than the usual lala. Taste is good but portion is small.

Steamed Minced Pork with Salted Fish for the kids to complement the fried rice.

Fried Mixed Mushrooms and French Beans. Something different than the usual vegetables, this is pretty decent.

Char Siew is really good and you easily tell from the photo. It literally melt in the mouth and this is definitely worth to order.

  Siew Yoke

Peking Duck is the signature and it is actually pretty good. Of course, there are better ones out there but their version is not too bad. The skin is crispy while the meat is tender. We forgot to take the photos of the wrapper because too hungry.

Deep Fried Salted Egg Prawns is pretty tasty but it is nothing extraordinary.

Overall, the food is not as bad as we read on Google reviews. We understand the food is pricy considering the small portion (that they have informed us while ordering). Some of food we enjoyed is the char siew, kam heong clams, mixed mushrooms and French beans as well as the fried salted egg prawns and their famous Peking duck. Most important part, the kids like the fried rice.
