Is There Quarantine for Dogs Traveling to Scotland?

Hi PetRelocation,

I need to get my dogs to Scotland from the United States and I'd like to know where to begin. I'm not sure what is required; is there a quarantine that needs to be done?

Thank You,
Sue

Hello Sue,

Thanks for contacting us! To start, here are the pet import import requirements for Scotland. We also have a guide to moving pets to the UK that should help you along your way in terms of figuring out vaccine and paperwork requirements as well as tips for booking pet friendly flights, routing, and even crate training.

Since you're coming from the United States you qualify for the Pet Travel Scheme, meaning that if you meet all the prescribed rules your dogs won't have to undergo quarantine upon arrival.

We've helped many pets travel safely to Scotland (including sweet Bella) and can assure you that it's possible to plan a safe and streamlined trip with the right preparation.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any more questions or if you'd like some assistance planning your dogs' trip, Sue. Good luck with your travels!
