2017 Budget Friendly Gift Ideas For Christmas

If you’re like me you hate being in a last minute scramble to find your friends or loved ones a Christmas gift. Nothing is worse than having to go out to the malls during holiday season and fight through crowds to find the latest thing that your friends or family might be into. It’s a headache. So I’m trying to get an early start this year, and while shopping around I figured I should share some of my finds.

HaloVa Backpack

This stylish backpack is perfect for college kids, photographers, or as a day pack during your travels. With an integrated charging part, this waterproof backpack also includes anti theft measures as well as several pockets for your laptop, books, camera gear and more. It comes in a couple of sizees and will run you around $50!

Bitcoin Shirt

If you haven’t heard of Bitcoin, you’ve been hiding under a rock. This digital currency is taking the fintech world by storm. The price per bitcoin has risen to over $5,000 just in the last month. Keep in mind though that you can always own fractions of a bitcoin. While some treat it as a speculative asset, others are simply using it as a way to pay for things online. Rather than sending your nephew a postcard with a couple of crisp bills in it, send them a Bitcoin tshirt with a wallet address you set up for them and load with some Bitcoin. Great idea for nerds! Scratch Map

If you have a friend that recently came back from some travels, consider picking up a Scratch travel map. Check out the website 1dea.me – they’re currently selling them online. They come in a bunch of different styles, personally I prefer their “Travel Map Black” version, which looks a bit more modern and won’t bring back any traumatic memories from geography class. Consider treating yourself to one while you’re at it, they’re pretty inexpensive and allow you to humble-brag all of the wild places you’ve been.

10 Piece Compact Cooking Set

Camping and cooking is one of the best things in life. Sitting around a fire, minding your eggs, your bacon, or whatever fun things you brought along to devour after a long day of hiking. If the idea of settling with a single cast iron skillet scares you, or if you’ve had to suffer through burnt food at the hands of your friend who’s an awful cook, this 10 piece Compact Cooking Set is perfect gift idea. This set is meant for the gas cookers so keep that in mind. Everything breaks down super small ensuring you’ve got plenty of room in your bag for those cans of beans you can’t live without.

4-in-1 Phone Lens Camera Case

If you have a photographer in the family, consider upgrading their phones lens and giving them a bit more control over their shots. This Phone Case comes with built in lenses, allowing the user to switch between wide angle, fish eye, zoom, and macro lens. It’s great for grabbing pictures of close up nature such as the fractals on leaves, or you can use it to squeeze in more of that beautiful sunset that needs to find a home on instagram.
