Things To Do Around The Grand Lake Area

Lendonwood Gardens

Nestled in Grove, the beautiful botanical gardens offer you the chance to explore the beauty of nature, with over 1000 different types of plants and flowers to walk around and admire.

There is a stunning Japanese pavillion and even the chance to feed fish in the Koi pond. The gardens are a relaxing break away from the water and are open year-round, with adult tickets costing $5 and students $3.

Pensacola Dam

Located between Disney and Langley, the world’s longest multiple arch dam spans a mile across the Grand Lake. If you plan on visiting the Disney rocks, make sure you take a trip to see impressive dam too.

Take a trip around the dam for a better look with the free guided tour offered. This will give you the chance to see the 6 hydroelectric turbines that produce electricity for the surrounding area.

Nature Falls State Park

There are many beautiful state parks to help you explore the great outdoors around Grand Lake. Though, if you want to see something totally special, head over to Natural Falls State Park.

Perfect for day-trip adventures and located around an hour from Grand Lake, Nature Falls is actually one of the closest state parks to Tulsa, nearly on the border with Arkansas. so make sure you pack some snacks for the day when traveling from the Grand Lake area.
