Spirit Airlines launched twice-daily flights this week (Thursday) between Reno (RNO) and Las Vegas (LAS) as a daily, convenient, low-cost option for travelers and business professionals alike.

To mark the new service, Spirit is running 'Las Vegas Flyaway for Reno Guests' contest. Spirit is giving away a pair of tickets to fly on its new nonstop route to Las Vegas, including free round-trip airfare, luggage, seat selection, and Shortcut Boarding.

If you're one of the lucky winners, you'll enjoy a three-night stay at Treasure Island and tickets to Mystère by Cirque du Soleil. This is a partnership between the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Cirque du Soleil.

Las Vegas is one of Spirit's busiest airports, with approximately seventy flights each day. This now gives passengers one-stop access to nineteen cities across the airline's route map, connecting them with RNO. This is the second year in a row that Spirit has been the largest carrier by departing seats at LAS.

Spirit continues its push to add more routes to underserved cities and its good to see. With other adds like ABQ this hopefully keeps the legacy carriers on their toes to not drop smaller routes.
