Florida Romantic Beach Getaways

Amelia Island, Florida

Amelia Island is a barrier island on Florida’s Atlantic coast, located south of Jacksonville and part of the First Coast region. It is home to the Amelia Island Plantation, a golf course, tennis courts, restaurants, and more.

Amelia Island has many beaches for you to explore with your partner. You can either walk or drive along Beach Boulevard (A1A) until you find one that suits your fancy!

A1A is also an excellent highway for road trips to see the different beaches in Florida on the east coast. In addition, this highway attracts tourists and vendors along the way to experience the southern culture, even on romantic getaways.

Things to do while visiting Amelia Island:

  • Fort Clinch State Park
  • Marlin & Barrel Distillery
  • Romantic Restaurants
  • Go Biking
  • Enjoy Watersports
  • Of course, relax on the beach and enjoy the sunrise and sunset.
  • Hotels

Seaside Beach, Florida

Seaside Beach is located in Florida. It’s a popular beach destination with a wide range of activities and amenities for visitors. You can enjoy the sun and surf or the many restaurants and bars available. There are also many hotels, resorts, and other attractions if you want to explore further after you’ve had your fill at the beach.

Seaside is known for the film “The Truman Show,” which starred Jim Carry. When we visited, we enjoyed taking a bike ride, enjoying the peaceful beauty, shopping in the tourist shop, and enjoying a snack from the local food trucks.

Destin Beach, Florida

If you’re looking for a romantic beach getaway, consider Destin. It’s a popular vacation destination with plenty of accommodations – from condos and hotels to homes for rent and campgrounds. Many activities are also available on the beach or in the water to keep visitors busy during their stay. And if you want to explore other parts of Florida, there are plenty of beaches nearby, such as Ponce Inlet State Park on Daytona Beach, which offers something different than what you’ll find at Silver Sands Beach or Joe’s Pass in Miramar Beach.

Destin, Florida, is more expensive than that nearby beaches for a romantic getaway. So we would not recommend Destin, Florida, if you would like a romantic beach getaway to Florida but need to stick with a budget, especially if you need a hotel stay.

FT. Lauderdale Beach, Florida

Ft. Lauderdale Beach is a famous beach town with many hotels, restaurants, and entertainment options. You’ll have no problem finding a place to stay that suits your needs. The wide beach has a nice view of the ocean, but what makes it stand out is all the attractions nearby. If you’re looking for something fun to do while visiting Ft. Lauderdale Beach, try an airboat tour or head over to Hollywood Beach, where there are plenty of people-watching opportunities (and some good restaurants).

  • Antique Car Museum
  • Art Museum

Pensacola Beach, Florida

Pensacola Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Florida and one of the best places for a romantic getaway with your partner. No matter your choice, you will have no problem finding other couples doing the same thing!

The beaches of Anna Maria Island are some of the most beautiful on Florida’s west coast, with white dunes lining miles upon miles of pristine shoreline. California Romantic Beach Getaways

Coronado Beach, California

Coronado Beach is an excellent place for a romantic getaway. The beach is in San Diego, California, and is popular with surfers and sunbathers. It has a lot of sand and a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean.

La Jolla Cove Beach, California

La Jolla Cove is a perennial favorite among beachgoers north of San Diego and south of the Pacific Coast Highway. The cove features pink sand and waves that are perfect for bodysurfing, but its crowning jewel is likely its tide pools—which were once home to the famous marine biologist Jacques Cousteau. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a seal!

Huntington Beach, California

A romantic getaway to the beach starts with a beautiful destination and ends with a happy memory. Huntington Beach, California, is just such a place. The city of Huntington Beach has been hosting tourists for over 100 years. Known for its 9.5-mile stretch of sandy beachfront, this coastal town attracts surfers, sunbathers, and other beachgoers who want to enjoy the laid-back lifestyle of living near the ocean.

The city’s central business district is concentrated around Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway (the PCH). Here you’ll find plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs with live music—including Tiki Mike’s X-Mas Bar or Peter O’Connell’s Seafood Restaurant & Irish Pub—that can help set the mood for you and your significant other during your trip together!

As recent truck drivers, we got stuck in Ontario, California, for Thanksgiving, and our families lived on the East Coast. So we decided to rent a car and go to Huntington Beach; it was an incredible experience. On Thanksgiving day 2018, we saw surfers having a good time and shopping the in the shops without long tourist lines. This happened again the following year for July 4th week, we did the same, but the beach was very crowded, and long lines in the shops and restaurants. I am a sucker for souvenirs; when I travel, I stand in long lines for a souvenir.

ST. Simons Island Beach, Georgia

St. Simons is a barrier island off the coast of Georgia and home to several famous beaches among locals and tourists alike. Known for its excellent seafood restaurants and charming southern charm, St. Simons is also known for its beautiful beaches; there’s something here for everyone, from families looking to spend some time together to couples seeking a romantic getaway. Topsail Island is a barrier island off the coast of North Carolina and features several beaches, including Masonboro Inlet Park Beach, Masonboro Sound, and Fort Macon State Park.

Gulf Shores Beach, Alabama

The wide range of accommodations and activities make this a perfect spot for couples. You can choose from hotels and vacation rentals that offer all-inclusive packages with fancy amenities like concierge services or private pools.
