The highlight of this project is it’s not just a popular Dominican tourist attraction, it also has a medical clinic, dental clinic and a pharmacy, located on the same 280 acre property of beautiful countryside.

The revenue from Monkey Jungle finances the medical and dental clinic which offer free services to some of the very poor local Dominicans and Haitian residents in the Sosua and surrounding area. Local people who have no income, no medical and dental care. These clinics provide full use of these services for free every Saturday.

This entire place and purpose was built from the ground up with the selfless, caring love for humanity and by One Couple who had the desire to pay it forward by giving back to those less fortunate.

I quote from their website: “Today through the continued support of those that come to visit Monkey Jungle, and the dedicated volunteers, visiting doctors and friends. Profits from the tourist activities, bar, gift store sales and donations are deposited into HADAC (Haitian and Dominican Assistance Corporation) a 501c3 and registered Dominican NGO. These proceeds go to fund medical and dental care, medicines, food programs, vocational training and educational programs, who will help these underserved people without charge to them of any kind.”
