Valencia is one of the favorite cities of tourists visiting Spain. However, it also hides another city that welcomes curious guests - the City of Science and Arts.

This place, which has gathered so much nature, science and arts, is located in a charming park and it`s a great place even for a peaceful walk. The city was built on the occasion of the new millennium and consists of several parts with different accents.

The Botanical Garden includes lakes, green spaces, and the so-called Passage, which acts as an entrance to the City of Arts and Sciences. The vegetation is typical of the Mediterranean and Valencia`s region. In the garden are held exhibitions of world-renowned artists.


The Art and Opera House is dedicated to the performing arts, and here is the Valencia Opera.

The open square where exhibitions, conferences and concerts are held is called the Agora - by the name of the central square in the ancient Greek cities.

The L'Oceanografic Aquarium is the largest aquarium in Europe. Here, in just a few hours, you will sail across several seas and encounter countless exotic fish and mammals that float above your heads as you pass through an underwater tunnel. The buildings and animals in them are thematically divided according to the region they represent: Mediterranean, Red Sea, Tropical, marshes and wetlands, Arctic, Antarctica. There is also a huge dolphinarium.


The Hemisphere is another curious part of this futuristic town - in fact the first open building of the complex back in 1998. The Hemisphere has an IMAX movie theater and planetarium.

Last but not least - Prince Felipe's Interactive Science Museum (the first photo). It is one of the most visited landmarks in Spain with more than 27 million visitors since its inception in 2000 to the present. The main purpose of the museum is to excite the curiosity and desire for knowledge in its visitors. Like any one of the buildings, this one is unique. The shape of the museum resembles a skeleton of a whale.

Palma de Mallorca


Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, located in the Mediterranean and part of the territory of Spain. The largest city on the island and the capital of the Balearic Islands is the city of Palma.


Palma de Mallorca is located on the southern coast of the island, in the Gulf of Palma and has a population of about 375 000 inhabitants. The most famous beach is called Playa de Palma and is about 30 km long. It is one of every tourist's favorite attractions.

Apart from beaches, the island can impress you with its unique nature, which predisposes to romance. Bays, parks, greenery, this cannot be described, and must be seen!

Food is one of the pleasures of a small town that you should not deprive yourself of. There are many cozy restaurants where the local cuisine is respected. Fresh fruits and vegetables, sausages, fish and light appetizers, called "tapa" by the Spaniards, are available at establishments off the coast and inland Palma.

Be sure to visit Burladero. It is located in the center of Palma. Sa Premsa offers both local specialties and international cuisine. The kitchen in the resort is from all over the world. Mediterranean specialties are naturally recommended!

The festival "San Sebastian" takes place on January 20 in the old part of the city and features musicians of different styles.

The territory of Majorca is divided into 9 provinces. The easiest way to travel throughout the island is by car. Charter tours are also available, but it is much more expensive.

Near Palma de Mallorca is the marvelous Bellver Castle. It was built in the XIV century by James II of Aragon and was used as a military prison.


The main object of attention is the capital city of Palma, which emerged as a city as far back as the XIII century. With its architecture, cathedrals, streets and liveliness, it is very reminiscent of Barcelona. Even the city's main street is said to be the one in the Spanish capital, La Rambla.

The symbol of the capital is the Gothic cathedral "La Seu", which translates as "light". It is located above the harbor and has been built for nearly 400 years. Behind it lies the old part of Palma with its small and narrow stone streets, beautiful old houses, noble palaces and several beautiful churches.

Torrent de Pareis is the most picturesque bay on the island, and Valdemosa is one of the oldest settlements here. It is located at 17km. from the capital Palma.

The route continues to the King Sancho Palace for a demonstration of typical folk dances and then to the Dragon Cave. It is located on the east coast of Majorca in the small fishing village of Porto Cristo. It is famous for its beautiful rock formations and the largest underwater lake in the world. You can attend a classical music performance accompanied by a light show.
