Goat Parva Murders – 25

This excerpt is from the book entitled The Goat Parva Murders an English Murder Mystery book set in the countryside, starring two policemen who have been working together for a few years and get along really well. There’s lots of dialogue and banter with some humour thrown in amongst the murders and suspects.

“No, off duty, and I have to tell you that the body has been interfered with and the belongings have been scattered.”

“Has that dog been involved again – that bloody Bingo?”

“It was Bingo that found the body.”

“And who was Adelaide Hills jabbering to this time? It wasn’t the Waferr woman again was it?”

“She says she wasn’t talking to anyone else.”

“That’s rubbish – after yesterday’s experience she should have known that the dog loves investigating crime scenes and messing them up – she was being distracted by either talking to someone or having a sly shag against a tree.”

“Who’d have her, sir?”

“No, you’re right, she was talking to someone – while her dog was removing items of clothing from the body. Again.”

“Do you want to see the body sir or should I get the lab boys to remove it?”

“I’ll be over in 20 minutes Barnesy and look at the scene – was he watching someone do you think? Is there anything in his mouth? Check that. See you there.”
