Wild Rover is hands down in our opinion the best party hostel in Cusco.

While the partying and social atmosphere is everything you’d expect from your standard crazy party hostel, what really sold me was the cleanliness and set-up of this place.

Wild Rover truly has everything you could possibly ask for and more from a party hostel. Including a soundproof bar! That’s right you read correctly… a Soundproof Bar!!!

At Wild Rover Cusco you can finally get your first good night’s sleep in a party hostel where you won’t be kept awake by the typical outrageous party antics from the bar giving you all types of F.O.M.O.

You know the standard occurrences at a party hostel like endless chanting, blaring music, stomping/pounding on the bar and the occasional glass shattering.

Nope, instead you can finally get yourself a nice peaceful sleep… but then again who wants to stay at one of the wildest party hostel chains in South America for some beauty sleep anyways.

Although with Wild Rover, at least the option is there...

What You Should Know About Wild Rover Cusco

• The beds at Wild Rover could not be more comfortable and secluded. Each bed comes equipped with its own curtain, reading light and charging port.
• Some of the best views of the city can be seen from the rooftop terrace at Wild Rover. This is where many people often like to enjoy their meals as they admire the amazing view.
• Wild Rover also has their own on-site restaurant which is surprisingly tasty considering it is being served from a party hostel.
• The prices for the dorm beds are incredibly low considering the quality of the rooms.
• The staff here are absolutely amazing and really go out of their way to make sure you are totally wasted the entire duration of your stay.

If you are looking for a good time then you have found an even better one.

Often times confused with an actual nightclub in Cusco, Loki’s bar is always jam packed with both tourists and locals on the hunt for some harmless chaos.

Similar to Wild Rover, Loki is another infamous party hostel chain in Peru, that is known for their absurdly outrageous party antics.

Whereas the Wild Rover bar shuts down typically at around 1 a.m, Loki’s bar typically stays open until 2 a.m or 3 a.m.

Loki Hostel has one of the best social atmospheres out of any hostel in Cusco.

Everyone is always happy at Loki where making new friends from around the world will be the least of your worries.

What You Should Know About Loki Hostel Cusco

• The hostel staff work very hard here to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves, and it really does show.
• The atmosphere at the bar could not be wilder if they tried, so if you’re looking for some extremely wild nights out in Cusco, then stay at Loki.
• Though the party is always good at Loki, the rooms are just average when compared to Wild Rover. Which is why a majority of backpackers choose to stay there instead of Loki. (Keep in mind the rooms are not bad, they are just not as nice as Wild Rover.)
• Loki and Wild Rover are located just down the street from each other, therefore no matter which one you choose, it is quite easy to visit the other.
• Bonus – Every time you stay at multiple Loki hostels throughout your trip, they give you a prize, like a t-shirt or a free shot. It pays to be loyal.

If you’re interested in a hostel that is slightly less crazy than Wild Rover or Loki, but still want a fun and vibrant social atmosphere then you may want to consider Pariwana.

Similar to the previously mentioned party hostels, Pariwana also hosts themed nightly events at their in-house bar.

In addition to this, Pariwana offers their guests daily free breakfast served from 7 a.m to 11 a.m along with a range of other amenities including a delicious international/Peruvian restaurant, in-house travel agency and an assortment of daily activities.

Though Pariwana is not a household name like the big two hostels mentioned above, it does offer a nice alternative, for backpackers who are looking for a hostel that is a bit more balanced.

Depending on what you are looking for from your Cusco hostel stay, Pariwana may or may not be for you, but one thing is for certain. With a 9.4 Hostelworld rating, the crew over at Pariwana must be doing something right.

If you haven’t yet heard about the Selina hostel chain, it’s about time you get acquainted.  Selina is a luxury boutique hostel chain that spans throughout almost every country in Central and South America.

They are renowned for their unique and luxurious designs, all while maintaining a budget friendly backpacker price.

For anyone perhaps looking for the exact opposite experience to what the party hostels in Cusco can provide, then Selina has got you covered.

Though the hostel only managed to score an 8.5 on Hostelworld, which is absolutely shocking to me, don’t think twice about staying at Selina Saphi Hostel. And don’t worry, you can thank me later.

• Selina Hostel has an utterly delicious restaurant located on the first floor that is so good it will be a struggle not to order everything on the menu.
• The location is absolutely perfect, located just a short walk away from the Plaza de Armas.
• The beds at Selina Hostel could not be more comfortable and private. Each dorm bed comes equipped with its own curtain, reading light and charging port.
• What Selina Hostel lacks in a party and social experience, they more than make up for in convenience, cleanliness and comfort.
