ypu have probably seen it on social networks: a giant Sculpture made of wood and shaped like a woman, with her hands simulates opening her chest from where you can see the vegetation. For many tourists it is already an obligation to take a photo below it when they visit Tulum.

So if you also want to know the sculpture to take some beautiful photos, here I tell you what you should know first.especially the perfect times to avoid wasting time in a long line.

WHERE IS SCULPTURE COMING TO LIGHT?

It is located right at the entrance of a hotel in the hotel zone in Tulum. It is located on the beach, on the Tulum-Boca Paila highway. The place is full of luxury eco-concept restaurants and sleeping places. Currently this area is attracting the attention of many people.

It takes you 20 minutes from the Magic Town by car, although you can also do it by bicycle. The magical town of Tulum is one hour from Playa del Carmen and two from Cancun. that means that you can visit this place in just one day.

DOES THIS SCULPTURE HAVE ANY MEANING?

The famous sculpture is called Ven a la Luz (Come into Light) and was made by South African artist Daniel Popper. It means the connection that exists between human beings and nature, and the objective is to create awareness about the ecosystem of the place where Tulum is located.

It is 10 meters high. Its structure is made of steel, wood and ropes; Its vegetation was artificial, but with the passage of time a natural garden has begun to grow.

Ven a la Luz (Come into Light) was part of the 2018 edition of Art with Me, a festival that takes place every year in Tulum that covers various areas such as wellness, gastronomy and music.
